Arkansas State Flag. The flag was designed in 1913 by Miss Willie Kavanaugh Hocker of Wabbaseka and finalized in 1926. Arkansas is the only state in the USA where diamonds have been found. The diamond shapes in the flag represent this. Arkansas is the 25th state in the USA, attaining statehood on June 15, 1836. It is the 29th largest state and is known as "The Natural State".
